This area comprises all the low level central area west of the town centre, both sides of the Henmore brook. It is a mix of residential and commercial including the hospital and doctors surgeries, the leisure centre, the retail parks and the Mayfield Road industrial and utility zones.
It's about 15 minutes walk to the town centre by road from the retail parks or use this offroad route across the water meadows.
The retails parks are on the bus route for the swift bus and for the 108 bus.
