An extensive consultation exercise with local businesses and significant stakeholder organisations has been commissioned by Discover Ashbourne CIC, in conjunction with Derbyshire Dales District Council.
Discover Ashbourne CIC is a community interest company recently established by the group of passionate and professional local volunteers who are behind Ashbourne Town Team.
Details
Ashbourne Town Team has been working with Derbyshire Dales District Council, Derbyshire County Council, Ashbourne Town Council and other groups on Ashbourne Reborn, a major town centre refurbishment project funded by over £15 million in government and private investment.
To keep the momentum going on revitalising Ashbourne, the Town Team in conjunction with Derbyshire Dales District Council, has secured a further grant, this time from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, to fund a consultation exercise with local businesses and significant stakeholder organisations, on where the town should go next.
The charitable organisation 'Groundwork' is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading experts on regeneration and has been appointed to help with this project. They will be contacting and engaging with businesses, stakeholders and partners across Ashbourne to gather their views.
The consultation will help to identify current and future challenges for Ashbourne as a place to work, live and trade, with a view to developing a strategy to address the challenges and create a stronger partnership for Ashbourne encompassing all major stakeholders and further promote Ashbourne as a preferred destination for business investment, working, living, shopping and enjoying leisure time.
How To Get Involved
The consultation will run from Monday 21st October 2024 to Friday 15th November 2024, and will include face-to-face engagement, telephone calls, emails and digital communications.
