The Bowling Green

The Bowling Green Steakhouse is at the top of the hill on Buxton Road. It serves good foods and has a large car park.

If you are coming from the town centre by foot, then the best way to get there is via The Channel, which goes uphill beside the Picnic Basket at the top of the Market Place. It's a bit longer but not as steep and it keeps you off the main road. Turn right when you reach the top of The Channel and the pub is just a couple of minutes walk.
