St John The Baptist Church

There has been a church in Mayfield for over a thousand years. The original Saxon church was replaced by a stone building in about 1125, and was extensively repaired and extended during the 16th Century. The west shows bullet holes reputedly from the passage of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745. Please refer to the website to find out times of services, contacts, and more about our history.
