Pegges Almshouses
About......
Pegges Almshouses self-catering accommodation - a choice of two charming listed almshouses, each with one bedroom.
Built from local sandstone in 1669 with oak beams, 46 Church Street is the middle cottage and 42 Church Street is the end of the three ‘Pegges Almshouses’.
Seventeenth Century architecture meets twentieth century interior design and twenty first century technology. Each cottage was once two cottages and now each one of the buildings has the novelty of two front doors, the first to a modern kitchen, dining room and the second to a spacious lounge and secluded outdoor dining area for two. Just minutes’ walk from the centre of town, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and bars and access to the Tissington Trail cycle and walking path.
